I did some mockups on how topic creation and posting can be used with AJAX, i'll upload them soon, but it really does look good and it's in a way faster than refreshing the page.
Let's bump this.
AJAX can cut the amount of SQL queries used, for instance say posting was converted to AJAX (that is to say, when you post it'll automatically submit the post without reloading the page) you wouldn't need to reload the userdata and other SQL queries executed on pageload.
Could also be implemented on the Search thing, the Edit Profile thing and possibly the revision editor.
