Our cat is unbelievably stupid. She used to voluntarily lay on our ping-pong table, occasionally getting hit on the head/face, unflinching. She also stretches over too far sometimes and rolls down the stairs.
it sounds like she's just extremely lazy, lackadaisical, and possibly obese
indifference to being hit by ping pong balls in not a sign of stupidity (probably the reverse).

They were sometimes seriously high-velocity balls. Poor, stupid kitty.
