Don't Let Your Walls Down
So on November 4th and 5th, Joe Grushecky is playing a very limited seated concert in pittsburgh at the soldiers and sailors auditorium. If you don't know the soldiers and sailors building in pittsburgh then you may not understand. anyways, Grushecky is playing two shows. And it's not just two shows with just him, he's being accompanied by Bruce Springsteen. Where peoples feelings get hurt is there are only 2300 tickets to each show.

My dad told me about the concert a couple weeks ago after I mentioned I was going to the Bob Dylan concert at the peterson event center on November 7th. I figured what the hell, I haven't seen Bruce Springsteen in years (since my dad took my to New York to see him play Giants Stadium). Well this morning was the presale. You know, one of those things that allows only "exclusive" people who know a secret code buy tickets.

Now, I didn't get one of these codes, but I figured someone had to of leaked the code somewhere. So I went searching for it, but what I found was even better. Endless posts about why this isn't fair, why such and such is a true fan who truly deserves a ticket, how so and so is disabled, a veteran, or both and thus more entitled than anyone else. Of course there was the other side of the spectrum. People posting stuff like "AHAHAHAH look at all you losers, I got my tickets and this show is going to rule! Too bad you can't make it!", you know, the general flame baiting.

While that provided a good couple of hours of entertaining reading, the best part was around 1ish because around noon (EST), the password leaked and they had to shut down the presale. I also heard something about ticketmaster actually going to void a bunch of ticket purchases because of the leak. I dunno, I had never tried to get tickets to some "major" music event, but this whole thing has made me laugh. I knew Bruce fans were fanatics, but I really think a lot of the people qq'ing over these tickets would actually sacrifice their first born for this event. Now it will be even funnier if I can get a hold of a couple during the general sale tomorrow morning as I smell a hefty profit.

Yeah, I am a big proponent of "well if it's that much of a pain in the ass, I'll do something else entirely."
