specifically, the show morning becomes eclectic. i first heard about it after downloading a live set of beulah, when they played live on this radio show.

i love the fact that the bands play live on the air. it's because this is the way radio used to be. bands would play live on the air in radio studios. it doesn't really happen anymore. but you have to love kcrw for pulling it off.

you can listen to all this (and more!) greatness online:

Nada Surf
Alternative rock trio, Nada Surf, perform new songs from The Weight Is A Gift for Morning Becomes Eclectic at 11:15am.
Will air Monday, October 24, 2005.

Dungen
Swedish collective Dungen, mix a little sampling, hip-hop and classic underground sound when they perform on Morning Becomes Eclectic at 11:15am.
Aired Wednesday, September 28, 2005.

Death Cab for Cutie
Seattle’s Death Cab for Cutie explore the sound of heartbreak, love and death on Morning Becomes Eclectic at 11:15am.
Aired Friday, September 23, 2005.

le tigre has an EP from that station. the only reason i know this is that i remembered seeing "morning becomes eclectic" while looking at their itunes thing because i appreciated the pun but i didn't realize it was a radio show.
