for some, password security isn't a critical issue. for others, password security is a necessity, and these people use a seperate password for plaintext (http, ftp, ...) transmission.
how much would you value, if at all, a secure ssl login?
think tank forums plans on rolling out additional features. these will include online file storage (you may store documents and media online via your ttf account), private messanging, and other web services.
if you used these features, how much would you value, if at all, a secure ssl login?
in addition, how important is a strict privacy policy to you?
how difficult would it be to implement?
if it's not too hard i wouldn't mind it, esp with the additional feature set.

i'm always up for a challenge.. it's just a tradeoff: ttf development vs. urchin development (urchin is my genetic algorithm; i should have a website for it online this weekend once i get some better data.
if i used online file storage ssl would be a necessity.

You should implement SSL. That would make ttf even better.
Yep, SSL will be cool provided its not a PITA.
