Well, I don't really care about that, does it matter? ][ is slightly easier to implement because you don't have to convert then to html entities (&lt; &gt;).

Other than this, the main "issue" I always have with these forums is "named" links (i.e. <a href="http...">description</a>), I always do it wrong, and because you can't preview I sometimes have to archive two or three posts before I get it right ... :-/

ditto. no closing tag for this means a space after the link no matter what, which kind of bothers me.

wait maybe this has been fixed?
