something is wrong with the notification counts in their emails. every time I get an email about an event invitation it says I have like 13 new notifications.

Not entirely joking.. .I did have a myspace account that was fabricated entirely from 419 scam emails. Including the photographs. That man led a life far more interesting than my own.
Facebook has banned me at least 6 times... "oh you didn't put your college, which is so fuckn' important to us... BANNED", same for high school, "you didn't pass the verification test... even though we didn't F'N SEND IT TO YOU... BANNED", "you have been banned because we're testing out some new shit-tastic feature in banning", "you have been banned because yah"

He may be referring to when Facebook was in its infancy and still used to require you sign up with a legitimate school email address...or maybe it really did ban him for not listing it under the info section. I can't remember what all was required back then...
initial sign-up required an email address using an approved domain. after registering, that was your only network, and you couldn't change your network. that was quite some time ago, though.
