A few config variables that should be added in the database and used should be like hostname, path to the forum, email address to use to send out the passwords after registration. those are the only things I can think of right now.
The reason I bring this up is if I update to the newest tree, I'll have to go re-edit some of the pages to get them to work again.

why does hostname and path need to be added, sdr?
I forget why I had suggested the hostname, but I do want the path to the forum because some links are relative and won't work when the software is not at the root of the site.
as for the logo, the same design can be done with text and css
yeah, both these changes have been made.. i'll finish up the rest later and commit it
